ANNUAL ONE DAY EVENT

INDEPENDANT HIKE - OUT AND BACK 

This badge is earned through completion of the annual Steeltown Stomp event usually held on the last Saturday of September or beginning of October. This challenging event consists of climbing all the escarpment stairs on the Hamilton escarpment up/down (approximately 2000 steps and 20km hiking). It is an in/out event.  There is a checkpoint at the turnaround and the badge is included when you finish.

The 2026 Steeltown Stomp event is scheduled for Saturday October 3, 2026.
