WHAT3WORDS CHALLENGE
EXPLORE & HAVE SOME FUN
Thank you for taking part in this special Iroquoia Hike. The goal on this scavenger hunt hike is to take in some of the great spots our section has to offer, while promoting the use of the what3words app.
- Download the what3words app.
- Use this flyer to record information at each stop.
- Locations are on the Iroquoia Bruce Trail main trail section between Grimsby and Milton.
- Find and stop at each of the ten (10) locations along the Trail
- While standing at the exact spot described for each stop, use the what3words app to determine the unique three-word combination and record it in the space provided.
NOTE: You do not need to complete the challenge in a single hike. You may complete it in any order. But you must visit all ten (10) locations to earn the badge. We do not provide KM markers or GPS coordinates – this is a challenge after all. Simply follow the directions, use the location names to help you navigate and find where you need to be.
what3words is a simple tool that helps hikers communicate exact locations. Many Ontario EMS call centres use what3words, though not all do, so it can be a helpful addition to your trail safety tool kit. Consider this fun practise. For more details on the app go to what3words.com
Please stay on marked trails and respect adjacent private property. Use designated parking, and note that some lots may require reservations or fees. Trail conditions may vary seasonally. This is a recreational trail, use at your own risk and leave no trace. Please go to brucetrail.org or use the Bruce Trail app to check for any trail closures and updates.
