Bruce Trail Day 2026

Bruce Trail Day with the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club

Join the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club for a fun-filled, family-friendly event at City View Park. There will be guided hikes for adults and children alike and lots of fun activities.

The theme of this year’s event is “Together on the Trail” and we wish to welcome anyone and everyone. Whether you’ve called the Bruce Trail ‘home’ for the last decades or are a newcomer, waiting to explore, you’re all invited!

Come celebrate the Bruce Trail and learn about the beautiful surroundings we are lucky to have so close to home.

Activities include:

  • Guided hikes (see details below)
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Blaze Painting
  • Young hikers can earn their badge on a children’s hike

This year, participants can also collect a stamp for their Passport to Nature. You can learn more here.

Please have a look at the hikes below, and register via the link. You can also register at the event. Hikers are requested to be at the event tent 15 minutes prior to the hike of their choice. 

Guided Hikes

10:15 – 11:30 First Time Hikers

Perfect for beginner hikers, or anyone looking for a leisurely hike along the Bruce Trail.  register here

11:00 – 12:30 Junior Hikers Hike

Hit the trail with the littles in your family on this hike geared for the younger outdoor enthusiasts. Children can earn their Fall Junior Hiker badge while exploring this beautiful area.  register here

12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Escarpment and Quarry Ramble

This hike with take us down into Kerncliffe Park to explore the old quarry and marsh, with a great view of the escarpment and some side trails within the forest. And then back up to the top for a great view of Burlington and the lake. register here

12:30 – 2:45 p.m. Exploring King to Kerncliffe

This hike with take us west to King Road, then onto King Side trail down into a little valley, back toward City View for a great view of Burlington and the lake, then down into Kerncliffe Park within the forest. And then back up to the top. register here
